Harbour Point is a bit tricky to nail down. I’ll do more research as time permits. It appears this area was platted as a single-family home neighborhood, and several homes were built. Then a new developer came in, redesigned the neighborhood (now mostly duplexes, which are townhouses), and developed the marina. Although the original single-family homes remain, they do not have access to the amenities. So be careful when purchasing to make sure you’re getting what you want. Several of the townhouses have elevators, but not all. The duplex townhouses come in varying sizes, from approximately 1550 to 2500 square feet. The marina is top-notch for a community facility, well equipped and maintained. Slips are listed through the MLS at 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 feet. Slips are double with full-length fingers. All slips are single with full-length fingers and corner gussets. The marina stays almost full. It’s well maintained and equipped. Each double slip shares a utility pedestal; most, but not all, have dock boxes.
To the north is the intracoastal waterway, Wrightsville Beach, Masonboro Inlet, and beyond; to the west, through Snow’s Cut, and you’ll enter the Cape Fear River, with Wilmington to the north and Southport to the south. And just to the northeast is the Carolina Beach Inlet. The inlet isn’t dredged and can be tricky to navigate, but the Atlantic is just beyond.
