Banks Channel Condominiums sit just across Lumina Avenue from Banks Channel on Wrightsville Beach. There are 12 in total, and they’re small, about 744 square feet, 2-bedroom, 1-bath. They have a very minimal exterior. But they’re solid. You also get a 28-foot slip right across the street. A center floating dock has three fingers for 8 slips on the outside. The slips are doubles, with piles in between and a finger for boarding on one side. The other 4 slips are tied off parallel to the center dock on the shore side. An aluminum gangway provides access to the docks. A deck offers space to relax and watch the sunset to the west. The docks are adequately equipped and well maintained.
This location puts the owner less than a mile from Masonboro Inlet and the north end of Masonboro Island, a 7.5-mile-long undeveloped barrier island accessible in several locations off the intracoastal waterway. It’s also 1.3 miles from the intracoastal waterway and about 2 miles from the Wrightsville Beach Bridge, with several good restaurants accessible from the water.
Community participation was moderate during the inspection, but a seasonal uptick is expected.
