The Doak Condominiums are a two-building complex with 8 units. One building is oceanfront, and the other is second row. Their docks are across Lumina Avenue on Banks Channel. The docks have an “H” configuration with 22-foot fingers. Eight boats can be docked there, and slips are assigned. Ask for the Dock Plat if you’d like to see the assigned locations. No boats were docked there at the time of inspection, but it’s assumed these are vacation rentals and there would be more activity in the summer. The docks are basic but adequately equipped and appear to be well maintained.
The docks are on Banks Channel south of the Causeway Bridge. The location is a little less than a mile and a half to the intracoastal waterway and little over a mile and a half from Masonboro Inlet. Masonboro Island, a 7.5-mile-long undeveloped barrier island accessible at several points off the intracoastal waterway, lies just across the inlet.
