Natures Run is a subdivision of 24 lots about 5 miles west of Oriental, North Carolina. Natures Run has 10 slips on a common dock a little short of 5 miles up Dawson Creek, which leads to the Neuse River. A bridge with a fixed height of 13 feet impedes any vessels wishing to enter the Neuse River.
Natures Run is one of the most affordable neighborhoods in this directory. Houses are generally from 1700 to 3000 square feet. Obviously, only about half of the lots have slips. That said, no slips were in use the day I was there. Boats are tied off parallel to a dock running along the shoreline. Slips are assigned. The docks are basic but a good spot for smaller craft interested in fishing, cruising down to Oriental, or exploring the shores of the Neuse River.
