Oceana is a very high-end gated community on the north end of Carolina Beach. It shares a marina area with Carolina Beach Yacht Club and Marina, located on the western side of a peninsula. One inlet serves the marina, with the Oceana section to the left (north) and the Yacht Club section to the right (south). The Carolina Beach inlet is 1 ¼ miles north of the marina, and Snow’s Cut, an artificial canal, connects the Intracoastal Waterway to the Cape Fear River, whose entrance is about two miles to the west. A jetty helps protect the westernmost dock from wakes created by Intracoastal traffic. Slips are deeded to Oceana residents. They may rent those slips to non-residents, but they cannot be sold to non-residents. A gate along the walkway divides the CB Yacht Club side from the Oceana side, but it is not a locking or keypad type. Slips are doubles with piles. A utility pedestal sits between each slip. The dock is a floating type with a wood surface. The fingers are full at approximately 40 feet. The CB Yacht Club side provides diesel, gas, and pump-out. The CB Yacht side has 30- and 50-amp service. The Oceana side will have to be determined.
