Sea Level Inn is a motel-a-minium at the end of the earth. Maybe that’s a bit harsh, but it’s remote. You might have to drive 30 minutes to Beaufort, NC, to get to a Piggly Wiggly (an esteemed southern grocery franchise for the uninitiated). But it’s quiet and beautiful on the shores of Nelson Bay off of Core Sound. Units vary in size depending on how many original units were combined: 300 feet, 600 feet, or 900 feet. Most are one bedroom, one bath, but there are 2 BR/2 BA and 3 BR/3 BA units as well. There is a restaurant on site. This property doesn’t meet my rule that boats must be kept in the water to qualify for this directory, but it is affordable, so I’ll make an exception. The property has a boat storage area and a nearby ramp. The dock piles are set back 30 feet from the dock, but they should accommodate 5 to 10 feet more in length. Cable, general liability, and flood insurance are included in the association fee, which is hefty: about 4,000 more, depending on the size of the unit.
