The Bluffs at Trails End is a small subdivision consisting of 7 lots along the east side of the cul-de-sac of Lauralis Bluff Court. The community dock has 6 slips, and one property has its own private dock alongside it. All the slips have power lifts. The creek is tidal and can be shallow.
The Bluffs at Trails End is located behind Masonboro Island, a 7.5-mile-long undeveloped barrier island that can be accessed at several locations off the intracoastal waterway.
The marina is about 2500 feet from the intracoastal waterway and 5.6 miles north of the Carolina Beach Inlet, which is not maintained and can be tricky to negotiate. Masonboro Inlet is 3 miles north and is one of the best inlets on the North Carolina coast. It is over a mile wide and has protective jetties out nearly 2000 feet from the mouth of the inlet.
Marina participation is good for a small neighborhood.
