Brices Creek Harbour is a subdivision with 64 parcels off of Brice Creek, which snakes around eventually terminating in the Trent River. While researching this one, I discovered that Brice Creek Harbour was originally platted as Stillwater Harbour, and properties appear under both names in the MLS. The subdivision wraps around a body of water called Saltwater Harbour, which joins Brice Creek. Most houses appear to be around 2,400 square feet on lots of about 1/3 of an acre.
A bridge across Brice Creek will restrict height to 15 feet. So we can assume sailboats are out unless you’re prepared to step the mast. A lot of the waterfront lots in the Brice Creek Harbour neighborhood have private docks. However, the community marina has 30 slips. Slips are doubles of 30 feet. The docks are well constructed with iron piles. They are floating, with a wide center pier, full-length fingers, and utility pedestals.
The community is tucked into the northwest corner of New Bern’s Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, and noise may be an issue. If you’re interested in this neighborhood, I recommend reviewing the flight schedule and assessing the noise factor for yourself.
This would be a great location for dinner, with a cruise along New Bern’s historic waterfront.
