It's across the intracoastal waterway from Top Sail Beach, approximately halfway between the southern tip of Top Sail and Surf City. All slips have power lifts because the marina's exposed to wakes from the intracoastal waterway.

It sits across the intracoastal from Top Sail Beach, about halfway between the island's south end and Surf City. Most lots are a little under half an acre. It has 10 slips, all with power lifts, which are a necessity given the docks' exposure to wakes from Intracoastal traffic.
Avila is a 26-parcel subdivision arranged along both sides of a street running from HWY 17 to the intracoastal waterway, called Avila Road. A new set of docks features a synthetic flow-through surface. They are fixed-height, with most having power lifts. A floating platform supports loading and unloading small craft, and a small-craft storage area is available. You'll be two miles north of the undeveloped barrier island of Lea-Hutaff.
Forest Sound is a 78-parcel subdivision in Hampstead, Pender County, about 6 .5 miles north of Wilmington, NC. Forest Sound uses HWY 17 for north/south travel, particularly to and from Wilmington. Traffic has gotten pretty bad, and stoppages are common during drive times. Construction on a bypass is underway, which should bring some relief. The project should be completed by 2030. Hampstead isn't a big town, but it has several grocery stores, plus a good selection of restaurants and daily services. For a waterfront neighbor not too far from Wilmington, Forest Sound offers a good value.
