Hidden Harbor is a neighborhood of large, stately townhomes and free-standing houses surrounding an artificial harbor off of the Trent River. A canal dug nearly a half mile inland from the Trent River provides access to the harbor. Does it have a common dock? It doesn’t meet the rules for inclusion here. But it’s such a unique situation. Each residence owns the land directly behind it on the harbor and has its own dock. All the docks run parallel to the shore. I didn’t get a good look at the individual docks, but they appear to be built and equipped to the owners’ desires. The townhouses are large, most at around 3000+ square feet. Houses in the neighborhood are also very substantial. It’s a quick boat ride to old downtown New Bern, with all its shops and restaurants. And an excellent hurricane hole.
