Oak Landing Townhomes is a townhouse complex overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway behind Wrightsville Beach, just north of Masonboro Inlet. The complex has two basic floor plans: a 2-story and a 1 & 1/2 story. Both are 3-bedroom, 3-full-bath. They are fairly close in size, both around 2,500 square feet. The complex totals 15 units, clustered on the west side of the property overlooking a large green space that leads down to the community docks.
The docks are well protected from the Intracoastal Waterway behind over 1000 feet of wetland area to the east. A channel was dug to the north leading to Bradley Creek. The channel is shared with the Westport community to the north. Each slip has a short finger, with piles defining the back of the slip at about 37 feet. The channel for entering and exiting appears to be maybe 40 feet wide beyond the slips before becoming too shallow to maneuver. A floating dock runs down the west side of the docks and is accessed by an aluminum gangway. There are dock boxes, water, and lighting. I could not confirm any electrical service to the boats: all in all, a good community slip.
The marina is ideally located for a quick run to Wrightsville Beach or out to blue water. The entry to Masonboro Inlet is only a mile and a half from the docks. Masonboro Inlet is one of the best inlets on the North Carolina coast. Protective jetties extend nearly 2000 feet from the mouth of the inlet. Carolina Beach Inlet, which is not maintained and can be tricky at times, is 5.6 miles to the south.
South of Masonboro Inlet is Masonboro Island, a 7.5-mile-long undeveloped barrier island that can be accessed at several locations off the intracoastal waterway.
Participation in the marina is moderate.
