Bradley Oaks Condominiums is a 16-unit development perched on a rounded peninsula on Bradley Creek, taking full advantage of the views for every unit. The development offers 3- and 4-bedroom models, all with 3 & 1/2 baths and ranging from 2200 to 2500 sq ft. There appear to be 16 slips, one for each unit. They accommodate up to 35 footers. Slips are doubles with piles and partial fingers. Every slip appears to have a dock box. They are floating and appear to have a synthetic plank surface. Oak Landing Townhomes is a townhouse complex overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway behind Wrightsville Beach, just north of Masonboro Inlet. The complex has two basic floor plans: a 2-story and a 1 & 1/2 story. Both are 3-bedroom, 3-full-bath. They are fairly close in size, both around 2,500 square feet. The complex totals 15 units, clustered on the west side of the property overlooking a large green space that leads down to the community docks. The docks are well protected from the Intracoastal Waterway, with over 1000 feet of wetland to the east. A channel was dug to the north leading to Bradley Creek. The channel is shared with the Westport community to the north. Each slip has a short finger, with piles defining the back of the slip at about 37 feet.

Twin Oaks Condominiums consist of two buildings. The building closest to the water has 4 units: 2-story condos around 1,100 square feet. The other building has 2 condo units, one on the ground floor and one on the second floor. The complex is about 1/3 of a mile up Whiskey Creek, which flows into the intracoastal waterway. The common dock has 6 slips. Two double piles and one slip on each end of the docks. They would appear to max out at around 15 feet. The area is tidal and can be shallow at low tide.
Tangle Oaks Condominiums is a 29-acre condominium complex with 51 units clustered in 9 buildings surrounding a marina on the intracoastal waterway. Six of the buildings overlook the marina. The remaining 3 take advantage of views to the north, east, and south across the waterway. All units are around 2,100 square feet. All were originally designed as 3-bedroom, 4-bath homes, but many have been modified to add a ground-floor space as a 4th bedroom. They are 3 stories and are not elevator-equipped. The first floor has a garage, foyer, and office or 4th bedroom and a full bath. The second floor has the living room, kitchen, and informal dining. The remaining 3 bedrooms are on the 3rd floor. The marina is completely dug into the mainland with 98 slips floating inside the bulkheaded area. Slips are doubles with piles. All recent sales have included a 30-foot slip. The marina is well equipped and well maintained. Community participation is very high.
Governor's Landing is, to date, the nicest, most substantial waterfront condo community in downtown Wilmington, and you get a 30' boat slip in your backyard. As of this writing, the docks could use a little maintenance, but since they are not in a no-wake zone on a tidal river (the Cape Fear), they're holding up pretty well. And I don't doubt they will be maintained. The condos are in 3 clusters of 3 units; each unit is around 3000 sq ft and can be configured as 3-, 4-, possibly even 5-bedroom units with 3 and 1/2 baths. They have a staggered or split-level layout with a large open living/dining/kitchen area on the ground floor, the master on the second with a balcony view of the river, and laundry and two bedrooms on the next. The next level includes an open den and an additional office, sitting area, or 4th bedroom.
Masons Bluff is a 10-parcel subdivision around a single street and cul-de-sac running from Middle Sound Loop Road to the intracoastal waterway in northeastern New Hanover County. Three of the 10 parcels are waterfront, with the remaining 7 landlocked. None of the three waterfront properties have private docks, so the common dock has 10 slips. It's a bit of a hike to the slips, which are 200 yards from the shore. There is a pavilion at the docks. The slips are 30 feet long, with double slips, full fingers, and piles in between. All slips accept one boat; one appeared to have a power lift. The docks are right off the intracoastal waterway, with no breakwater, and are subject to wake buffeting.

Poplar Grove Point is a small, 9-parcel subdivision off Scotts Hill Loop Road. Although just northeast of Wilmington, it is in Pender County. The subdivision's houses are large and stately, with lots ranging from a little over 0.5 to 1.0 acre. Poplar Grove Point has exceptionally nice docks with wide synthetic flow-through deck surface and a floating dock for convenient loading and unloading. All of the slips are equipped with power lifts. The docks also include a covered pavilion and a fish sink. The wide fingers make it easy to move along the full length of your boat. The docks are just off the intracoastal waterway, so wakes in the area are an issue, making the fixed height and lifts a practical necessity. It would appear that every parcel gets a cock and there is a high level of participation from the neighborhood.

Oyster Point is a 52-parcel subdivision in the Porter’s Neck area of Northeast New Hanover County. It occupies two separate tracts of land. One tract is a peninsula on the eastern side of Everett’s Creek, a tributary to Pages Creek. Most of the assigned spaces were about 20 feet, with a few 24-foot spaces. That didn't work out; today, no boats are berthed on the east side of the platform. It is clearly too narrow and too shallow to dock on that side.
