Myrtle Gardens was originally a neighborhood of 7 lots on Myrtle Sounds platted in 1927. The adjoining property to the west was subdivided in 1994. Ten home sites were created in that second subdivision called Timberbrook and the docks were built on Myrtle Sound. An association was created for Timberbrook and its docks. Two of the homes from Myrtle Gardens joined the association and were assigned docks which will run with the land. The other two homes in Myrtle Gardens had their own docks and chose not to join the Timberbrook association. The dock has the capacity for 10 slips. Eight of the homes in Timberbrook have assigned boat slips, two do not. About half of the slips have power lifts which are owned and maintained by the individual owners. Non slip owners have the right to visit the docks and launch small crafts.
I was unable to access the docks but I can tell you these details. There is a floating central platform and most of the slips have power lifts. The whole structure is exposed to wakes from traffic on the intracoastal waterway. It's assumed that the docks are reasonably well equipped but again the docks were not inspected.
